Meet Our Founder

Marcus N. Daniels

Marcus N. Daniels is the Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Daniels Development Group LLC. Mr. Daniels brings over 15 years of experience in business, real estate, finance, public policy and consulting assisting clients with their strategic goals and objectives.

Mr. Daniels is Vice President at NAI Michael, a commercial real estate brokerage and development firm where he has represented clients in the acquisition, development and disposition of commercial real estate including retail, office, industrial, multifamily and mixed use developers, institutional investors, publicly traded companies, privately held businesses, professional service firms, federal contractors, nonprofit and healthcare clients for their requirements in the United States.

Mr. Daniels is the Chair of NAI Global Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Council for NAI Global, a network of over 350 commercial real estate brokerage firms across the world. He is a member of the The Real Estate Executive Council (REEC) & National Association of Investment Companies (NAIC), an association of the nations top diverse and minority owned private equity firms and hedge funds in the United States.

Mr. Daniels is an active member of the National Association of Black Hotel Owners Operators and Developers (NABHOOD), District of Columbia Building Industry Association (DCBIA), Maryland Building Industry Association (MBIA), the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI).

Mr. Daniels started his career as a Chief of Staff in Maryland General Assembly for a member of the House of Delegates. As a former legislative fellow at the US Department of Treasury in the Community Development Financial Institutions Fund during the Obama Adminstration, Marcus developed a stronger understanding of the community development finance industry and today currently serves a member of the Truist Bank Community Advisory Board for the Washington DC & Baltimore Region. Truist Bank is one of the top 10 largest banks in the United States.

Mr. Daniels served on the Board of Directors of the University of Maryland Laurel Regional Hospital. Mr. Daniels was the Chairman of the Board of Community Youth Advance, a nonprofit youth mentoring organization empowering hundreds of young people in the Washington DC and Prince George’s County, Maryland.

Mr. Daniels was named as one of the Top 40 Under 40 by The Mid-Atlantic Real Estate Journal and has been featured in The Commercial Observer, The Washington Business Journal and The Washington Post.

Mr. Daniels graduated with his B.B.A in Finance from Morehouse College and was a Horace Rackham Fellow at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan. Mr. Daniels was also a National Equity Center Fellow at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). Mr. Daniels is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
